Philip A Bower
Philip Bower, LICSW, is a licensed clinical social worker providing affirming telehealth therapy for adults in Massachusetts, Maine, and Washington. He specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ adults, veterans, consensually non-monogamous and polyamorous relationships, kink/BDSM communities, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, and life transitions. Philip's approach is grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and evidence-based practice. He believes therapy should be a place where people no longer have to edit themselves to be understood. His work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), narrative approaches, and strengths-based practice to help clients build lives that reflect who they are rather than who they were expected to be. Outside the therapy room, Philip is the founder of Authentic Arch Counseling and is passionate about creating accessible, affirming mental health care while writing about authenticity, therapeutic environments, and the human experience.
